Look Past The Error aphorism

It’s easy finding the fault – that’s what makes us human. But it’s a skill to look past the error so I still see you

I love this expression, “I see you”. I believe it is the most beautiful gift we can give to each other – seeing deeply so you see the person you are with.

If you watch the movie ‘Avatar’ you might recall that this was the greeting of the natives. But it means seeing into the person to see who they truly are.

This is also the meaning of Namaste – the Indian greeting. It represents the belief that there is a divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra.

The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one, by the soul in another. Seeing this divine spark in each other requires skill, especially when one of us has done something the other considers ‘wrong’. But you know what?…It is easy to find fault, cos ‘to err is human’.

That is our humanity. Can you still see the divinity when we are human too?
